Weapons Transfer to Donbas by Russia

The Russian Federation continues to provide rebels with weapons, military equipment, ammunition, fuel and lubricants, and other military equipment on the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions through the border areas, uncontrolled by the Ukrainian government.

This statement was made by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine spokesman Maksym Prauta with reference to the information from the Ministry of Defence Main Intelligence Department. “In particular, during the last week at least 10 units of armoured combat vehicles, up to 30 trucks with small arms, ammunition and military equipment and about 1,000 tons of fuel,” the spokesman said.

According to him, a special Armed Russian Federation Forces rotation took place.  Besides, Ukrainian intelligence recorded the Russian Federation’s rebels’ arrival to be recruited for Russian occupation troops in the Donbas.

To recap, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine responded to the Russian Federation State Duma deputy Leonid Kalashnikov about the possible official delivery of  weapons to the occupied Donbas. The Ukrainian ministry said that Russia has fought against Ukraine for seven years already, providing militants and mercenaries with all necessary weapons.
