Constructive Discussions Held about Further EU Assistance to Ukraine

Today, the Promote Ukraine (PU) team (vice-president Vasyl Kushmuns and Partnership and Fundraising lead Yehor Pyvovarov, Ph.D.) had a very constructive discussion with Magdalena Grono, Senior Foreign Policy Advisor on Ukraine and Eastern Partnership countries at the Office of the President of the European Council Charles Michel (@charlesmichel).

We had an excellent opportunity to talk openly and in a very constructive ambience about further EU assistance to Ukraine during the continuing Russian war, PU projects and activities. We also discussed the necessity to intensify the European military and financial aid to Ukraine, which is crucially needed now.

We delivered our concerns on issues that impede Ukraine’s progress on the battlefield, including the necessity to double the supply of weapons and the use of Russian assets frozen in Europe to finance this process and Ukrainian reconstruction. Special attention has been given to the upcoming European elections and to the future of EU-Ukraine cooperation after they will take place.

PU representatives stressed the importance of maintaining European unity to counteract the aggressive Russian attempts to destroy it and to push the world at the edge of the global conflict. We express our gratitude to Ms. Grono for this opportunity to exchange opinions and continue our dialogue with the purpose to speed up Ukraine’s victory!
