The UN General Assembly will consider the situation in the occupied territories of Ukraine, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzheppar announced.
“The UN General Assembly has just adopted a decision to keep the important item to Ukraine ‘Situation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine’ and include it in the draft agenda of the 76th session of the General Assembly by a majority of votes (in favour: 71, against: 12, abstention: 45),” said Dzheppar.
The official added that the Foreign Ministry was grateful to all countries that had supported Ukraine and international law and order during the vote. The situation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine remains in the spotlight of the UN General Assembly. Russia’s actions, which undermine the authority of the General Assembly, deserve only general condemnation.
As a reminder, the OSCE recorded more than 1,500 ceasefire violations in Donbas on 8 September.
