DEUkraine has restored control over Kherson, the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have entered the city. The retreat routes of the Russian occupiers are under the fire control of the Ukrainian army.
“As expected, after the retreat of the main group of Russian army troops from Ukraine’s Kherson, your command abandoned you to your fate. Your commanders urge you to change into civilian clothes and try to escape from Kherson on your own. Obviously, you will not succeed. Ukraine is taking control of Kherson, the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are entering the city,” the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine posted on Telegram, addressing the Russian service members.
The Russian military was warned that any attempt to oppose the Armed Forces of Ukraine would be stopped and anyone who resisted would be eliminated. The only chance to avoid death is to surrender.
“In case of voluntary surrender, Ukraine guarantees you life and safety. We adhere to the Geneva Conventions; we guarantee prisoners of war food, medical care, and the possibility of your exchange for service members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine held captive in the Russian Federation,” the Main Directorate of Intelligence notes.
Meanwhile, users of social networks are posting dozens of photos and videos of Ukrainian military forces liberating the villages of the Kherson region on the right bank of the Dnipro River and approaching the regional center.
In Kherson city center, even before the arrival of the Armed Forces, civilians held a spontaneous rally and hung the national flags of Ukraine.
Also, a video appeared on social networks showing how advanced units of the Ukrainian military are greeted in the center of the city.
