Defenders of Ukraine liberated 919 settlements from the occupiers, Deputy Head of the President’s Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko said.
“There are more than 11,000 settlements in the de-occupied territories of Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Mykolayiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions. More than 3,000 of them were or are still under occupation. Currently, 919 settlements have been de-occupied. The bodies of local self-government have already resumed their activity in 29% of them,” Tymoshenko informed.
According to him, mine clearance is already completed in 70 settlements, and humanitarian headquarters began to work in 192 towns and villages.
At the same time, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reports that explosives technicians found more than 1,500 hazardous objects and inspected almost 512 ha of Ukrainian territory on Monday, 18 April.
In total, since the beginning of the invasion, Ukrainian specialists have neutralised more than 68,000 explosive devices, about 418 kg of explosives, and almost 2,000 aviation bombs.
