The Ukrainian public procurement system scored 97.05 points out of 100 points possible and took first place in the Transparent Public Procurement Rating.
The second and third places were taken by Moldova (92.81) and Colombia (91.77) this year. The worst result was demonstrated by Tajikistan (37.88 points).
Until recently, Ukraine ranked second (86.26 points) after Moldova, but the adoption of a new law “On Public Procurement” has done its job.
The ranking is conducted by the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information together with partner organizations. It assesses public procurement legislation and process transparency on 64 indicators. Initially, the ranking covered only European and Asian regions, but now it includes 39 countries.
