Minsk prepares to agree on the lists for the exchange of detainees during the next meeting. This was accepted during a Tripartite Contact Group’s for the Situation in Donbas Settlement meeting.
According to the website of the President of Ukraine office, the parties also discussed the possibility of deploying forces in new areas and opening additional checkpoints on the demarcation line, particularly in Zolotoye. They also discussed an issue of providing the unimpeded crossing of the demarcation line by the prospective university students who are under preparation for the admission campaign.
Besides, the parties discussed a demining plan.
At the same time, the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission representatives reported that their patrols had found the traces of heavy equipment in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.
Let’s remind, that last exchange of detainees with pro-Russian militants took place on April 16, 2020. The militants released 20 people, and the Ukrainian authorities handed over 14 people.
At the moment, the Tripartite Contact Group for the Situation in Donbas Settlement meetings do not show any significant progress.
