The state budget of Ukraine received USD 1.235 billion in grant funds, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine reports.
The funds were provided by the United States of America through the World Bank Trust Fund, as part of the fourth additional financing for the Public Expenditures for Administrative Capacity Endurance (PEACE) Project.
Grant funds will be channeled into providing partial reimbursement of the state budget expenditures, in particular for pension payments, support for certain programmes of state social assistance (assistance for IDPs), payment of salaries to employees of state agencies, employees of the State Emergency Service, and employees of the higher education establishment.
As a reminder, since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Ukraine has already received $15.5 billion in grants from the United States of America.
Currently, Ukraine implements the Public Expenditures for Administrative Capacity Endurance Project jointly with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and the International Development Association (IDA) worth USD 14.9 billion and EUR 1.4 billion (IBRD loans, IDA loans, grants from many donors under Trust Fund).
