Ukraine Denounced the Agreement on Cultural Co-operation with Russia

The Cabinet of Ministers approved a draft resolution “On Ukraine’s withdrawal from the Agreement on the Establishment of the Council for Cultural Co-operation of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Protocol Amending the Agreement on the Establishment of the Council for Cultural Co-operation of the Commonwealth of Independent States of 26 May 1995.” This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy.

“Ukraine is withdrawing from the agreements, as due to Russia’s armed aggression, actual co-operation with Russia has been suspended, and co-operation with other CIS member states is taking place in a bilateral format based on new and / or existing bilateral agreements,” the Ministry explained.

The agency reported that last month Ukraine withdrew from the agreement on humanitarian co-operation within the CIS.
