While conducting stabilisation measures in Kherson city, liberated from the Russian occupiers, the officers of the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police discovered another torture chamber equipped by ruscists.
As the Security Service of Ukraine reports, Ukrainian citizens who refused to cooperate with the enemy were held here in inhumane conditions.
It is noted that Kherson residents were interrogated and brutally tortured. During the inspection of the chamber, law enforcement officers found objects that directly indicate signs of torture.
“In liberated settlements, we discover civilian premises that were used to hold people captive. There are locks on the doors, there are no toilets or basic furniture, and there are marks on the walls indicating the number of days people spent in such conditions,” said Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets.
According to him, Ukrainians who survived torture in these chambers say that “everything happened there, but the most terrible thing was the electric shocks which made them lose consciousness.”
Currently, a set of investigative and operational measures is being carried out to document all the crimes committed by the occupiers, identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
