Paris Defence and Strategic Forum “L’Europe à la Croisée des Chemins” Has Begun

On 13 and 14 March, military, diplomats and industry representatives from Spain, France, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, the United Kingdom, the USA, South Korea, Japan and countries of Africa gathered to discuss defence issues and strategies to support Ukraine and the world in times of war.

Vice-president of Promote Ukraine Vasyl Kushmuns is representing our NGO at the Forum at the invitation of the organisers.

The forum was opened by the president of the Republic of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda (@gitanasnauseda), who said, “Peace can quickly turn into war if we are not prepared. Assistance to Ukraine is not a charity, it’s an investment in our future security”.

“We have never been in such a dangerous situation in 40 years. We must share this responsibility together. We have no experience in war, so we are here today to be prepared to defend ourselves,” said Général Benoit Durieux Président, Académie de défense de l’École militaire (ACADEM).
