State Budget of Ukraine Suffered 524 Million UAH in Losses Due to Corruption Crimes

Abuses by officials who violate the law for personal gain inflict huge losses on the state budget of Ukraine. The amount of state losses established by the State Bureau of Investigation for three years of operation exceeds 524 million UAH.

In total, the SBI recorded the receipt of bribes in the amount of more than 41 million UAH, seized property worth a total of 186 million UAH, and sent more than 1,100 indictments against 1,412 people to court.

Among them are accusations concerning:

• 1 SBI employee 
• 13 SSU employees 
• 76 taxpayers 
• 125 customs officers 
• 99 border guards 
• 48 employees of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine 
• 128 employees of the State Forest Guard 
• 12 employees of the State Fisheries Agency 
• 9 employees of the State Migration Service of Ukraine 
• 17 employees of the SES of Ukraine 
• 8 employees of the National Guard of Ukraine 
• 107 servicemen 
• 294 other persons
