The occupiers kept a family with two small children on the administrative border of Crimea with mainland Ukraine for seven hours, said the Chairman of the Crimean Tatar People’s Majlis Refat Chubarov.
“From 11 a.m., the Russian occupiers have been holding Islyam and Dilyara Karashayevy with two young children on the administrative border of Kalanchak between the occupied Crimea and the Kherson region,” the statement said.
According to Chubarov, untill about 18:00, Islyam Karashayev was interrogated by FSB officers, after which the occupiers let the family into the Kherson region. The Karashayevy family lives in Kyiv and visited their parents in the occupied Crimea.
It should be mentioned that earlier the first Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova reported the detention of Tatars in Crimea.
“The Kremlin is in action. Russian occupation authorities in Crimea are searching the families of Crimean Tatars. Six FSB detainees have already been detained in Simferopol. They may face charges under the infamous article on terrorism (Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code),” Dzhaparova wrote.
