The European Advocacy Forum is officially over. It was two days of powerful and coordinated work by dozens of organisations that advocate for Ukraine every day in different European cities.
During the Forum, we discussed important issues: protecting democracy, economic relations, achieving justice, and the security landscape. Building on these discussions, we transitioned to practical steps, framing the key advocacy issues for the 2024 EU elections.
This was powerful work that will serve as a basis for even more coordinated and effective work by Ukrainian and pro-Ukrainian civil society organisations abroad!
We are also pleased to announce that two important events took place at the end of the Forum, which will significantly strengthen cooperation and partnership:
- The presentation of the Ukraine Leads Platform – an online platform for organisations in Europe that are involved in protecting and promoting Ukraine’s interests.
- The signing of the Manifesto – a joint official statement by the organisations participating in the European Advocacy Forum 2023 that outlines a common vision for the development of the advocacy movement in the interests of Ukraine.
We sincerely thank everyone who was with us during these two days. Your contribution to development is very valuable!
We are also sincerely grateful to our faithful and reliable partners: the Europabüro der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and the European Parliament.
Last, but not least, a huge thank you to Liza Bezvershenko, the advocacy leader of PU, who led the entire process of preparing for the Forum and the entire team of volunteers. Without you, this would not have been possible.
Thank you. See you next year at the European Advocacy Forum
