The second day of the conference of ambassadors of Ukraine “Diplomacy 30. Strategy of Strong State” took place on 22 December.
The thematic sessions were attended by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, Verkhovna Rada Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk, and Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba held a final meeting, at which he summed up the conference and determined the main tasks of the diplomatic service for 2022. In particular, the work of foreign diplomatic missions of Ukraine will focus on the following areas:
-Strengthening security and defence capabilities of Ukraine, countering Russian aggression
-Implementing the Foreign Policy Strategy of Ukraine, Asian and African strategies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
-Introducing NAZOVNI digital platform to create new economic opportunities for Ukrainian exporting companies in foreign markets
-Developing Crimea Platform as an effective and permanent international format to return Crimea and counteract the threats of Russian occupation of the peninsula.
-Honoring the 90th anniversary of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 at the appropriate international level
-Strengthening relations with key partners of Ukraine
The minister stressed that proactive action, search for non-standard solutions, speed and efficiency, as well as promoting the Ukrainian agenda, helping Ukrainian business, protecting the rights and interests of citizens, and countering external threats are critical for the effective protection of Ukraine’s national interests by the diplomatic system.
