During the six months of the unprovoked full-scale war unleashed by the Russian Federation against Ukraine, only every 20th missile attack by the invaders was directed at military facilities; the rest hit civilian infrastructure.
Such data was published by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) on its Telegram channel.
“The world has seen the beastly face of the Kremlin – thousands of dead Ukrainians, destroyed houses, children who lost their parents. Only every 20th missile strike of the Russian Federation hit a military facility; the remaining 19 hit residential buildings, schools, hospitals, and universities. Everything that the Ukrainians built and created with their own hands, and what our peaceful life consisted of,” the report says.
The SBU emphasises that no bloody crime committed by Russian terrorists will go unpunished.
Meanwhile, the Russian military conducts new missile launches every day.
Today, 21 August, at around 3:00 a.m., the occupiers fired five rockets at the Odesa region from the waters of the Black Sea. Two Kalibr-type cruise missiles were shot down over the sea by the Pivden Air Command’s anti-aircraft missile unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Three more cruise missiles hit the territory of one of the agricultural enterprises of the Odesa region. There was a hit on a grain store.
The day before, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhny reported that on 20 August, Ukrainian military used just four S-300 system missiles to destroy four Kalibr-type cruise missiles fired by Russian troops at the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Military experts note that the defenders of Ukraine have achieved such high efficiency thanks to the experience gained and the development of algorithms.
