The Command of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is strengthening control over the activities of the command staff of units of the operational grouping of the Russian occupation forces in the temporarily occupied territory in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
This was reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine with reference to the data of the Main Intelligence Directorate.
“This week, a commission of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation began work in the enemy’s troops to monitor the meeting with the command staff of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps,” the statement said.
Ukrainian intelligence also found that the headquarters of the 8th Army of the Southern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces planned to certify officers for compliance with their positions based on the results of combat training of the Russian occupation forces this year.
Meanwhile, the Press Service of the Luhansk Regional Department of Forestry and Hunting reported that a fire truck exploded on Friday, 9 October, in Luhansk region while extinguishing a fire on an explosive device. Three employees of the State Emergency Service were hospitalised with injuries. The car is no longer recoverable.
