DEAccording to General Staff data, the Russian occupiers continue to ignore international humanitarian law, shelling not only the positions of Ukrainian troops but also the civilian infrastructure of populated settlements, terrorising civilians.
Last night, Russia once again attacked Ukraine with missiles and Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones. In the Odesa region, the port infrastructure was under attack. Information regarding the consequences of this terrorist attack is currently being clarified.
The Defence Forces of Ukraine continue to hold defence in the east and south of Ukraine, carry out offensive operations in the areas of Melitopol and Bakhmut, destroy the enemy, liberate the temporarily occupied territories step by step, and gain a foothold on the achieved boundaries.
More than 32 combat engagements took place over the past day. The enemy launched one missile strike, 56 airstrikes, and 85 MLRS attacks on the positions of our troops and civilian objects of our state. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, civilians were killed and injured, and private houses and other civilian infrastructure objects were destroyed and damaged.
The following areas were hit by airstrikes: Stepne in the Sumy region; Cherneshchyna in the Kharkiv region; Novoyehorivka and Nevske in the Luhansk region; Spirne, Klishchiyivka, Andriyivka, New York, Avdiyivka, Novomykhaylivka, Vuhledar, Zolota Nyva, Urozhayne, Staromayorske, and Zelene Pole in the Donetsk region; Verbove, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, and Novodanylivka in the Zaporizhzhia region; Kherson, Beryslav, Odradokamyanka, Mykolayivka, Burhunka, and Olhivka in the Kherson region.
More than 70 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions came under artillery fire.
There are no significant changes in the operational situation in the area of responsibility of the North operational troops in Volyn and Polissia.
In the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna regions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active subversive activities to prevent the redeployment of our troops to threatening directions, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border in Belgorod region.
In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group of troops in the Kupyansk and Lyman directions, the occupiers did not carry out offensive (assault) operations.
In the Bakhmut area, our defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks in the areas east of Bohdanivka and south-east of Bila Hora in the Donetsk region. The Russians tried to regain their lost position in the area of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region but failed.
In the area of responsibility of the Tavriya operational-strategic group of troops in the Avdiyivka direction, the defence forces successfully held the defence on the achieved lines and repelled enemy attacks in the area of Avdiyivka in the Donetsk region.
The occupiers conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near Maryinka in the Donetsk region, where they made 14 unsuccessful attempts to knock our units out of their positions over the past day.
At the same time, in the direction of Shakhtarske , our defenders continue to hold the defence on the reached boundaries, protecting our land from the invaders.
Defence forces continued the offensive operation in the Melitopol area. Our defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks in the vicinity of Robotyne settlement in the Zaporizhzhia region and continue to gain a foothold on the achieved boundaries.
Defense forces of the Odesa operational-strategic group continue to conduct a counter-battery fight, destroy depots, and inflict successful damage on the enemy’s rear in the direction of Kherson.
Over the past day, eight strikes on enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment clusters were launched by air defence forces.
Missile units hit two enemy anti-aircraft missile systems, four artillery systems, and an ammunition depot.
