Ruscists Trying to Disrupt Counteroffensive Actions of Armed Forces of Ukraine

The 229th day of the Ukrainian nation’s heroic resistance to the Russian large-scale invasion has begun.

According to the data of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy is trying to hold the temporarily captured territories, focusing its efforts on attempts to disrupt the counteroffensive actions of Ukraine’s Defence Forces in certain directions and continuing offensive actions in the direction of Bakhmut and Avdiivka.

The enemy is shelling Ukrainian positions along the contact line, reinforcing defensive positions and lines in some directions, and conducting aerial reconnaissance.

Violating the norms of international humanitarian law, the laws and customs of war, the invaders are striking critical infrastructure and residential neighbourhoods.

There is a threat of airstrikes and missile strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine. Over the past day, the occupiers launched 10 missile strikes and 19 airstrikes, more than 90 MLRS attacks.

As a result, over the past day, the infrastructure and civilians of more than 30 settlements, including Zaporizhzhia, Slovyansk, Novobakhmutivka, Siversk, Bilohorivka, Nikopol, and Blahodativka, were affected.

The enemy used seven anti-aircraft guided missiles to attack Zaporizhzhia. Once again, the critical infrastructure of the city and the homes of civilians were hit.

Over the past day, the Ukrainian troops repelled the enemy attacks in the areas of Ozarianivka, Kamyanka, Pervomayske, and Nevelske settlements.

Ukraine’s aviation launched 24 strikes over the past day. Damage to 20 areas of build-up of weapons and military equipment, as well as four anti-aircraft missile systems, was confirmed. In addition, the Ukrainian air defence units shot down a Su-25 enemy aircraft, three UAVs, and three Kh-59 guided air missiles yesterday.

“The situation is critical in the 127th rifle regiment of the so-called 1st army corps. The hastily formed regiment, by the decision of the commander of the 49th army, was immediately redeployed to the first line of hostilities in the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions. Relatives of mobilised servicemen prepared an appeal to the Russian law enforcement agencies about significant losses and the inaction of the military command. There are long interruptions with water and food supplies in the subdivisions. Military personnel, at best, are equipped with old-style protective equipment, causing numerous casualties,” the General Staff noted.
