The Armed Forces of Ukraine do not allow the invaders to achieve their goals and inflict serious losses on the Russian troops in the east of our country.
“In particular, losses total 80% of personnel in some assault units of PMC Wagner. Evacuation of the dead and wounded by the enemy is limited or not carried out at all. As a result, there is a significant decrease in the level of trust in the command’s decisions on the conduct of hostilities among the personnel of the Russian occupation forces in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine,” said Hanna Malyar, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine.
She added that more and more Russian servicemen are realising that their commanders are inadequately assessing the situation on the battlefield. This is evidenced by the intensive use of the so-called “death squads” – units staffed by ill-trained mobilised personnel who daily suffer large combat and sanitary losses.
“In particular, only one training center in the territory of Rostov region sends about 500 hastily trained mobilised men every week, most of whom undergo an accelerated training course of 14 to 21 days,” said the deputy defence minister.
When they get to the units, such servicemen resort to deliberate damage to military equipment, mainly engines. Therefore, military equipment is sent to repair bases with full ammunition without firing a single shot.
