A rally against the entry of Russian-flagged oil tankers into the port was held in the port of Antwerp, Belgium.
The Ukrainian community, Belgian and European activists participated in the rally, The Brussels Times media outlet reports.
“The rally participants, namely the Belgium-based human rights group Promote Ukraine and members of the environmental charity Rise for Climate, organised a protest action against the maintenance of Russian ships and Russian oil supplies to the port of Antwerp. Activists called for a full Russian oil embargo and termination of maintenance of Russian ships in European ports,” the article reads.
The media outlet notes that the NGO Promote Ukraine has been involved in active protests since the beginning of Russia’s war against Ukraine. Activists called for the termination of Belgium’s trade agreements with Russian diamonds, urged NATO to close the skies to Russian invaders, asked to impose a complete ban on Russian gas and oil imports, and boycotted filling stations of the Russian company Lukoil.
