Brussels, 05 September 2024 — In the wake of the recent devastating attacks by the Russian Federation on multiple Ukrainian cities, which resulted in the tragic loss of life and injury to hundreds of innocent civilians, Promote Ukraine NGO organised a demonstration in front of the Russian Mission to the European Union.
More than 100 participants gathered in Brussels on 05 September 2024 to express their outrage over the Russian aggression and to demand immediate action from EU and world leaders. Attendees included members of the Ukrainian diaspora, local citizens, human rights activists, and other allies standing in solidarity with the people of Ukraine. Carrying banners and chanting slogans, demonstrators called for stronger sanctions against Russia, increased military support for Ukraine, and heightened diplomatic pressure to halt the violence.
The protestors urged global leaders to take swift and decisive action, emphasizing the critical need to protect innocent lives from the indiscriminate bombings and attacks. Many speakers at the demonstration voiced their concerns over the international community’s response, urging greater unity in confronting the aggressor.
Promote Ukraine is committed to continuing its efforts to raise awareness about the atrocities committed by the Russian Federation and to mobilise the international community to defend Ukraine’s sovereignty and the lives of its citizens.
As the situation escalates, Promote Ukraine urges the EU, NATO, and other global leaders to act decisively in response to Russia’s continued aggression. The NGO also calls for immediate humanitarian assistance for those affected by the attacks and a unified stand against war crimes and violations of international law.
Promote Ukraine remains dedicated to defending the rights of Ukrainians and amplifying the voices of those affected by the war.
