Russia-backed militants in the Donbas fired one grenade launcher last night. It happened near Novoluhanske, according to the Joint Forces Headquarters.
The shot was provocative and aimless, so the Ukrainian fighters did not fire in response.
“Since the entry into force of the ceasefire, which began on 27 July, there have been no wounded or killed soldiers from the Joint Forces. The servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other components of the Defense Forces are performing their tasks as assigned,” it is said in the statement.
The Headquarters also said that during the day, SES units found 76 unknown explosive devices.
“According to local administrations, rescuers of the Joint Forces are repairing houses damaged by artillery shooting in previous years, working with various level of severity. And at the checkpoints of the Joint Forces, the personnel of the Joint Forces provided medical and other assistance to more than 20 citizens of Ukraine. Firefighters from the Joint Forces extinguished 33 fires in one day. None of the civilians were injured,” the environmental police said.
