Since 27 July, when the ceasefire was announced in Donbas, there have been no casualties among the Ukrainian Joint Forces.
This was reported by the press center of the Joint Forces Operations Headquarters.
At the same time, it is reported that a complete ceasefire on the line of contact has not yet been achieved, as shooting by pro-Russian militants has been recorded almost daily.
Thus, during 10 August, mercenaries from territories not controlled by Kyiv once violated the ceasefire near Krasnohorivka. The military leadership claims that the fire was from small arms, it was aimless and was not a threat to Ukrainian defenders. Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not return fire.
The headquarters of the Environmental Protection Agency emphasizes that the situation in Donbas remains completely under control, and the ceasefire agreements are working.
“The situation in the area of the Joint Forces operation remains under the full control of Ukrainian troops. Adhering to the full and comprehensive ceasefire regime, our servicemen continue to perform their assigned tasks in good faith”, the statement says.
It should be noted that the day before, the Head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Tripartite Contact Group Leonid Kravchuk said that Ukraine would seek various international legal formats for negotiations on Donbas, in particular, it is planned to involve the G7 countries.
“We will ask that the United States of America and other G7 countries, in addition to Germany and France, join us. And in this way, we will constantly offer, demand”,Kravchuk stressed.
