An opening of the European integration regional office took place in Dnipro on Monday, 30 November, the EU Delegation to Ukraine announced on its page on Twitter.
“The EU welcomes the opening of the European Integration Office in Dnipro and is looking forward to closer cooperation with the region. The EU Delegation to Ukraine seeks to see how the European integration benefits can be used in the Ukrainian regions in the best way possible,” the statement explains.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishina, “symbolically, that the second regional Office for European Integration is opened in the eastern part of Ukraine in the city of Dnipro, an outpost of the country’s territorial integrity and independence.”
Earlier, Stefanishina stated that the Luhansk region had expressed a desire to open the same office.
To recap, the first regional European integration office opening took place on 15 October in Kherson. On 21 October, the government adopted a decision to launch such offices in Dnipro, Poltava, and Khmelnytsky oblasts. The Cabinet of Ministers believes that over time, such institutions should appear in all the regions. Their goal is to explain and spread European integration all over Ukraine.
