The 220th day of the Ukrainian nation’s heroic resistance to the Russian large-scale invasion has begun.
According to the General Staff data, the enemy continues to focus its efforts on trying to fully occupy the Donetsk region and holding the captured territories, as well as disrupting the active actions of Ukraine’s Defence Forces in certain directions. The enemy is shelling the positions of Ukrainian troops along the contact line, conducting aerial reconnaissance, attacking civilian infrastructure and civilian homes, and violating international humanitarian law, laws, and customs of war. There is still a threat of enemy airstrikes and missile strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine.
Over the past day, the occupiers launched 11 missile strikes and 10 airstrikes, more than 65 MLRS attacks.
More than 35 settlements, including Ridkodub, Slovyansk, Kramatorsk, Bilohorivka, Bakhmut, Netaylovye, Vodiane, Marinka, Vremivka, Kryvyi Rih, Zaporizhzhia, Zaliznychne, and Mykolaiv, were affected by enemy strikes.
According to updated information, it was confirmed that enemy personnel and military equipment had been damaged in Zaporizhzhia region in the previous days. In particular, one personnel build-up area, three ammunition depots, more than 20 units of weapons and military equipment, and one S-300 anti-aircraft missile system were hit. In total, more than 250 occupiers were injured. Information about those killed is being clarified.
Over the past day, the units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine repelled enemy attacks in the areas of Zaitseve, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Odradivka, Vyimka, Spirne, Nevelske, and Pervomaiske settlements.
Aviation of the Defence Forces launched seven strikes during the past 24 hours. It was confirmed that a command post, five areas of weapons and military equipment build-up, as well as an enemy anti-aircraft missile system were hit. In addition, the Ukrainian air defence units shot down a Ka-52 helicopter, a Su-25 attack aircraft, and eight unmanned aerial vehicles.
Over the past day, missile and artillery units, in particular, hit two command posts, 14 areas of manpower, weapons, and military equipment build-up, three ammunition and fuel depots, as well as eight other important enemy objects.
