The Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine reported that the mobilised Russians were given Iranian-made body armour and helmets. In addition, new groups of “advisers” on the use of drones arrive in the Russian Federation from Iran.
“Due to the inability to provide the new wave of the mobilised with the necessary ammunition of its own production, the Russian armed forces start to use Iranian-made equipment. In the near future, it is planned to transfer 3,000 units of armour protection – 1,500 body armour and 1,500 helmets manufactured by Milad company (Iran). Currently, Iranian ammunition is at the warehouse of logistics centre No. 1061 of the 3rd motorised rifle division (Soloti/Valuvaiky, Belgorod region),” the Chief Directorate of Intelligence noted.
The intelligence officers emphasise that Iranian authorities plan to send a new group of advisers to assist the Russian armed forces in the combat use of Arash-2, a new type of unmanned aerial vehicle, and Iranian surface-to-surface missiles. They are expected to be delivered soon.
Moreover, a group of advisers of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps left Iran for Dzhankoy, Crimea, to provide assistance in the combat use and improvement of Shahed-136 and Mohajer-6 UAVs.
