Marta Barandiy Asks Will We Only Wake Up When Russia Attacks a NATO State?

President of Promote Ukraine Marta Barandiy wrote an op-ed for the Belgian newspaper Knack asking if we will only wake up when Russia effectively attacks a NATO state?

In her article, Marta focused on the 2nd anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, noting that Europe and NATO are still not ready to defend their borders and resist the enemy. If Ukraine does not stand firm, a big war in Europe is inevitable. We warned the world in 2022 that a full-scale invasion was possible, but we were not heard, and as a result, in 2024, we are still poorly defended, lacking troops, ammunition, and air defence systems.
