Main Directorate of Intelligence: Ukraine Preparing for Complex Spring-Summer Military Campaign

The Armed Forces of Ukraine, the defence forces, all defenders of Ukraine are ready for any scenarios during the spring-summer campaign which will be extremely difficult.

“The spring-summer period will be very difficult. We understand this, we are preparing: we are strengthening our capabilities, we have experience and strong support from our partners. And today there are clear plans which are agreed upon at the Ramstein powerful platform every month,” Deputy Chief of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine Vadym Skibitskyi said.

The intelligence officer added that the main goal of the Kremlin – the complete occupation of Donbas – has not been achieved in a whole year. In addition, the Ukrainian side disrupts all Russian Federation’s plans which are constantly changing. In particular, Russia launched an offensive from at least four directions, but the Russian armed forces are not capable of conducting such offensive operations at the same time. They can do it in two directions at most.

“At the beginning of the aggression, more than 350,000 Ukrainian service members had the experience of combat missions in Donbas, participated in ATO/JFO, these are people with combat experience. That’s why they now master Western technology so quickly, in two or three weeks,” Skibitskyi said.
