The EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, will visit Ukraine on 22 September. That will be his first visit to our country, the EU website reports.
During the visit, Josep Borrell plans to meet with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba and Minister of Defense Andriy Taran.
The EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs will also visit the European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM) in Ukraine.
Josep Borrell was expected in Ukraine in March, but he postponed the trip (together with a visit to Donbas) due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier, Joseph Borrell said that after the poisoning of Navalny, the European Union should move beyond words and implement a global mechanism of imposing sanctions for human rights violations, which has been developed since 2019.
