Since the beginning of a full-scale invasion, Russian occupying forces have damaged 627 healthcare facilities in Ukraine, including 105 that were completely destroyed during targeted shelling, Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Liashko said at a briefing.
The invaders also destroyed 396 pharmacies; 27 of them are not subject to restoration.
“More than 200 ambulances have been shot down or seized by the enemy,” the minister informed.
He also added that 235 healthcare facilities and more than 200 emergency medical teams are located in the territories temporarily occupied by the Russian troops; most of them in the Kherson region.
Earlier, Mariupol mayor’s advisor Petro Andriushchenko said that on 20 May, the occupiers brought stolen medical equipment from Mariupol hospitals 1 and 4 to Donetsk as charitable assistance from the United Russia party.
