The Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the OSCE, Olexandr Lukashevych, claims that “Kyiv had taken a destructive position, which disrupted the negotiation process between “representatives of Kyiv, Donetsk, and Luhansk,” NV reports.
He said this at an online meeting of The Permanent Council of the OSCE, reports the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“The negotiation process between the representatives of Kyiv, Donetsk, and Luhansk is gradually coming to a standstill due to Kyiv’s destructive line of breaking the Minsk agreements and reviewing the obligations arising from them,” he said.
According to him, the “inhuman military operation of Kyiv against civilians of Donbas has not been stopped for a year”.
“We are forced to state once again that the ongoing crisis in Ukraine is the result of a coup d’etat inspired, directed, financed and organized from abroad in February 2014, which led to the armed confrontation in Donbas and the numerous suffering of millions of civilians in Ukraine. It is important that the Ukrainian people be able to independently manage their future without the US external control imposed on them,” Lukashevych said.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced the failure of plans to establish “an advisory council” under the Minsk agreements with the participation of representatives of ORDLO.
Since 2014, Russia has been a party to the conflict in eastern Ukraine, materially and technically supporting the “LDNR” terrorist formations.
In 2014 and 2015, the Russian army launched a direct military invasion of Ukraine to provide military assistance to militants in Donbas.
The Kremlin denies Russia’s involvement in the war in Donbas, calling it a “civil conflict” and takes every opportunity to spread its propaganda narratives in Russia, in Ukraine, and in the West.
Russia continues to fuel the war in Donbas with money and weapons, creating a full-fledged army in the occupied areas, consisting of Russian military personnel, Russian citizens, and local separatist elements.
As a result of the Russian aggression, more than 10,000 Ukrainians were killed, more than 20,000 were injured, and 1.8 million Ukrainians became internally displaced persons.
