The second caravan carrying Ukrainian foodstuffs left the “Odesa” and “Chornomorsk” ports. Three ships departed from Chornomorsk and one more from Odesa. The ships are heading to the ports of Italy, China, and Turkey, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine informs.
More than 160,000 tonnes of agricultural products are on board the STAR HELENA, GLORY, RIVA WIND bulk carriers, and MUSTAFA NECATI tanker.
“After the organisation of the first caravan, we are gradually moving on to larger volumes of work. We plan to ensure the capacities of the ports to handle at least 100 ships per month shortly,” commented Oleksandr Kubrakov, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
As a reminder, it is planned to fully integrate “Pivdenny” port into the implementation of the “Grain Initiative” for Ukraine to be able to send even larger caravans of ships to buyers, at least up to 3 million tonnes per month.
