On 17 October, the ruscists struck Kyiv with Iranian kamikaze drones. As a result of the attack, a fire broke out in a non-residential, multi-storey building in the Shevchenkivsky district of the capital.
“Firefighters work. Several residential buildings were damaged. Healthcare workers are at the scene. We are clarifying the information about the victims,” Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported.
The drone flights and the work of air defense systems were recorded in various districts of Kyiv city and the region. At the same time, new blasts ringing out in the city are being reported on social networks as of 08:00.
As a reminder, a special dome to protect Kyiv against drones should be erected over the city within the next two years. It has been already established partially. This was announced by Yuri Zozulia, an adviser to Kyiv mayor.
“The whole world has come to the aid of Ukraine and is creating a new system that has not been used anywhere before. It will be replicated not only in the cities of Ukraine but also, I think, all over the world. British and Canadian scientists participate in the project. Basically, almost the entire scientific and technical potential of NATO is involved,” the adviser to Kyiv mayor emphasised.
