Euroday is an annual event in Brussels when all the European Institutions open their doors to visitors. This year, Promote Ukraine had a chance to present our motherland at this event, which took place on 4 May.
Our team represented an ethnic-style stand at the Berlaymont, one of the most iconic buildings of the @europeancommission where everyone could help themselves with Ukrainian traditional delicacies and enjoy watching a master class on creating Easter eggs by Anna Malinina.
Also, we offered a concert of Ukrainian talents on the main stage of the event:
– Performance of Olga Gavrylyak, a talented bandura player;
– Ukrainian folk dances by Amina Morozova and her children’s dance studio Aim;
– Ukrainian famous songs by the Promote Ukraine choir.
Also, in the European Economic and Social Committee @eu_civilsociety, a part of our team represented our second stand with some merchandise and souvenirs. In addition, we were honoured to have Oliver Röpke @eesc_president, the President of EU Civil Society, at this location.
Promote Ukraine would like to express gratitude to Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission @ursulavonderleyen, and Oliver Röpke, the President of the EU Civil Society @eesc_president for a chance to participate and present Ukraine at such a great and important event!
And, of course, thanks to our volunteers for a great team job! Without your efforts and dedication, such a great performance would not be possible!
Plus, during the event, we distributed more than 500 fundraising leaflets and managed to raise €90. Thanks to everyone for your support.
