The 201st day of the Ukrainian nation’s heroic resistance to the Russian large-scale invasion has begun.
According to the General Staff data, the enemy is focusing its efforts on establishing control over the territory of the Donetsk region, holding the temporarily captured territories, and disrupting the offensive of Ukrainian troops in certain directions.
The enemy continues to fire at Ukrainian positions, conducts aerial reconnaissance, and tries to take measures to regain the lost position.
There is still a threat of air and missile strikes across the territory of Ukraine. Over the past day, the enemy launched 18 missiles and 39 air strikes on military and civilian objects throughout Ukraine. More than 30 localities were affected, in particular, Kramatorsk, Kostiantynivka, Dnipro, Pavlohrad, and Velykomykhailivka. The Russians committed yet another terrorist act by launching a missile attack on the Kharkiv Thermal Power Plant, a critical infrastructure object of the city, causing power outages in several regions.
After the success of the Defence Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson direction, the enemy suffered significant losses in manpower. According to available information, the Sevastopol-based 810th separate brigade of marines lost almost 85% of its personnel. The rest of the servicemen have extremely poor morale and massively refuse to return to the combat zone.
The Ukrainian troops continue liberating localities from Russian invaders in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions. During the retreat, the Russian troops hastily abandoned their positions and fled deep into the temporarily occupied territories or the territory of the Russian Federation. This trend persists. Over the past day, the occupiers took away property and stole vehicles from residents of the Velykyi Burluk and Dvorichna, Kharkiv region.
In the Luhansk region, the Russian military and their families left the town of Svatove; only the soldiers of the so-called “people’s militia” from among the local residents stayed.
In general, over the past day, the Defence Forces of Ukraine managed to oust the enemy from more than 20 localities. They are now being taken under full control; stabilisation measures are underway.
