DEAccording to General Staff data, the Russian occupiers continue to ignore international humanitarian law, shelling not only the positions of Ukrainian troops but also the civilian infrastructure of populated settlements, terrorising civilians. Yesterday, the enemy struck Ukraine with air-launched cruise missiles and Shahed-136/131 UAVs. As a result of combat operations, air defence units destroyed six cruise missiles and six Shahed drones. Unfortunately, as a result of such terrorist actions of the Kremlin, civilians were injured, residential buildings were destroyed, and civilian infrastructure was damaged.
Moreover, the Russian occupiers have launched today a massive missile and air attack on the civilian infrastructure of Odesa, using cruise missiles and combat UAVs. Information regarding the consequences of this terrorist attack is being clarified.
The Defence Forces of Ukraine continue to hold defence in the east and south of Ukraine, carry out offensive operations in the Melitopol area and offensive actions in the Bakhmut area, destroy the enemy, liberate the temporarily occupied territories step by step, and gain a foothold on the achieved boundaries.
Over the past 24 hours, more than 35 combat engagements took place. The enemy launched 15 missile strikes, more than 70 airstrikes, and 47 MLRS attacks on the positions of our troops and populated settlements.
Airstrikes were launched on Hirky, Pavlivka, and Popivka in the Sumy region; Nadiya in the Luhansk region; Terny, Torske, Siversk, Vesele, Andriyivka, New York, Avdiyivka, Novomykhailivka, and Staromayorske in the Donetsk region; Verbove, Robotyne, and Novodanylivka in the Zaporizhzhia region; Odradokamyanka and Mykolayivka in the Kherson region.
About 80 settlements in the Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions came under artillery fire.
In the areas of Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna, the enemy continues to keep groups of troops to shield the state border. The invaders conduct subversive activities in the border areas to prevent the redeployment of our troops to dangerous directions and increase the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border in the Belgorod region.
In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops, in the Bakhmut direction, the defence forces successfully repelled the attacks of the occupiers in the area of Bila Hora in the Donetsk region. The enemy unsuccessfully tried to break through the defence of our troops in the area of Andriyivka in the Donetsk region. The defence forces continued their assault near Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region, inflicting significant manpower and equipment losses on the enemy and gaining a foothold on the achieved boundaries.
In the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational and strategic group of troops, the Russians conducted unsuccessful offensive operations near Maryinka in the Donetsk region. Here, over the past day, the enemy made 10 unsuccessful attempts to knock our units out of their positions. At the same time, in the Avdiyivka and Shakhtarske directions, the defence forces held the initiative, put pressure on the enemy, conducted assault operations and recaptured our land.
In the Melitopol region, the defence forces continue the offensive operation, inflicting significant manpower and equipment losses on the occupying troops, and forcing the enemy to withdraw from the occupied positions.
In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational and strategic group of troops in the Kherson direction, our soldiers conducted a counter-battery fight, destroyed supply depots, and inflicted damage on the enemy’s rear.
Over the past day, the aviation of the defence forces launched nine strikes on enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment clusters.
Units of missile forces hit two enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment clusters, two anti-aircraft missile systems, 11 artillery systems, three ammunition depots, and an EW station.
