Another aggravation occurred in the Joint Forces operation area. On the night of 30 October, two soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were killed. Two others were wounded in shelling by pro-Russian militants.
As the headquarters of Joint Forces operation reported, drones, grenade launchers, and small arms were applied against the Ukrainian military in several parts of the front line.
“Such the enemy’s audacity indicates that the Russian Federation armed forces focus on disrupting the agreements reached by the Tripartite Contact Group on 22 July 2020. Today’s shelling proves that the enemy does not aim to achieve peace,” the Joint Forces Commander Serhiy Nayev said.
He also added that the Ukrainian military provided an adequate response to the enemy’s fire provocations, which forced the militants to return to the “silence regime.”
The violations were reported to OSCE representatives via the Joint Centre of Ceasefire Monitoring and Coordination and Frontline Stabilsation.
Besides, the Ukrainian side is initiating an urgent meeting of the security subgroup in the Tripartite Contact Group for the Peaceful Settlement of the Situation in Donbas.
