Dmytro Kuleba: Package of U.S. and EU Sanctions Can Do Irreparable Damage to Russian Economy

Ukraine is in its strongest economic, diplomatic, and military position in nearly a decade and is ready for any scenario. Thanks to the work of diplomats, a painful package of EU and US sanctions was prepared, which is a factor in deterring Russia from further aggression.

“Currently, Ukraine is in its strongest economic, diplomatic, and military position since 2014. On our initiative, and thanks to our activity, the partners in the European Union and the United States completed the formation of a sanctions package,” Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba stated.

Kuleba assured that the prepared sanctions would be very painful for the Russian Federation and would do irreparable damage to the Russian economy.

“Ukraine is ready for any scenario. This is not an exaggeration. This is a conclusion that I can draw based on the completeness of the data at my disposal,” he said.

Ukraine’s top diplomat noted that intensive visits of senior foreign officials and world leaders to Ukraine would continue.

“The German Chancellor, the foreign ministers will arrive. Telephone conversations take place every day,” the minister noted.
