High Representative Josep Borrell confirmed that after the ease of lockdown measures related to COVID 19 pandemic, the first thing he will do – visit Ukraine, particularly, the Donbas region. He planned to do so in March 2020 but his visit was canceled due to the announcement of quarantine in almost all countries of the EU, including Belgium and Ukraine – his starting and final destinations.
He will also pay a lot of attention to the Eastern Partnership, – he told during the press conference on the meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the EU member states on April 22.
Borrell told the journalists that he will also visit Belarus. At the same time, he expressed criticism that Belarus fails to implement proper measures to fight the spread of the novel coronavirus.
