New forces are to replenish the Russian units stationed in Belarus. As a result, the ratio of “experienced” and “fresh” forces will stand at 1 to 5, the Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine reports.
It is planned to use existing military funds, as well as civilian premises and buildings, for accommodation. Warehouses, hangars, and other premises of abandoned agricultural enterprises and farms are provided for these needs. Corresponding instructions were given to the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus and local councils.
“After increasing the staff, the units will use Russian military equipment stored at the depots in the territory of Belarus. It is also planned to strengthen forces by taking equipment and weapons out of storage in the territory of the Russian Federation. The lack of equipment for transporting personnel of the occupying forces is planned to be settled by using civilian trucks and cars,” the intelligence officers said.
The authorities of Belarus also instructed law enforcement agencies to assist the representatives of the armed forces of the Russian Federation in mobilising Russian citizens who recently entered the territory of the country.
