The Defence Forces of Ukraine destroyed $26.5 million worth of enemy equipment with the help of two Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicles from 31 August to 2 September, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny has said.
“These are eight T-72 tanks (estimated cost of one tank is $3 million), an Akatsiya self-propelled gun ($1.6 million), an IFV ($0.6 million), and howitzers ($0.3 million),” he wrote.
In addition, Ukrainian soldiers damaged five more T-72 tanks and an IFV.
The total cost of destroyed and damaged Russian equipment is $28.35 million.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces emphasised that the effective Turkish Bayraktars in the skillful hands of Ukrainian soldiers were a powerful weapon. One of them was a gift from a friendly Lithuania.
At the same time, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that during the past day, 2 September, and the night of 3 September, anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force destroyed five enemy unmanned aerial vehicles of operational-tactical level, as well as five Kalibr missiles, launched by the occupiers in the Dnipropetrovsk region from the waters of the Black Sea.
