Armed Forces of Ukraine Start De-Occupation of Luhansk Region

Ukrainian troops are continuing the counteroffensive in the east and south of the country and have begun the de-occupation of the Luhansk region.

“Well, now it’s official: the de-occupation of the Luhansk region has begun. Several settlements have already been liberated from the Russian army, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine are already raising the Ukrainian flag there,” Serhiy Haidai, Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, said in a video address posted on Telegram.

At the same time, videos and photos are being published on social networks, confirming that the Ukrainian defenders took control of the villages of Hrekivka and Makiivka.

Moreover, the de-occupation of the Yampil and Terny settlements in the Donetsk region was reported. In the Kherson region, the village of Novovoskresenske was liberated from the invaders.
