In 2021, servicepersons of the Armed Forces of Ukraine plan to take part in 22 multinational exercises, including eight on the territory of Ukraine and 14 more abroad.
“We invite all our partners to increase the level of participation in exercises in the territory of Ukraine next year. For our part, given the granted NATO EOP status, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are ready to join the relevant exercises of the Alliance related to collective defence,” Minister of Defence of Ukraine Andriy Taran said at a briefing for ambassadors and military attachés of NATO member countries and the NATO Liaison Office in Ukraine.
Taran also stressed that the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, together with partners, is working to improve the skills of Ukrainian servicepersons within such military training missions as JMTG-U (Joint Multinational Training Group – Ukraine), Operation ORBITAL (the training mission of the United Kingdom and the Kingdom of Denmark), Operation UNIFIER (the Canadian Armed Forces’ training mission) and LMTG-U (the Lithuanian Armed Forces’ training mission).
