According to the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, another 95 Ukrainians have been released from captivity. Among those released from captivity are:
• 51 representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (in particular, 15 members of territorial defence units)
• 29 National Guard members
• 11 border guards
• 4 military sailors
All those released this time are men. Among them are two officers; the rest are privates and sergeants.
“Thanks to the cooperation of representatives of the security and defence forces, the government, and the team of the President’s Office, the defenders of Mariupol (including Azovstal steel works) and Snake Island were returned from captivity this time. Prisoners from the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant are going home. Twenty-seven servicemen defended (the) Donetsk direction (five of them – near the city of Bakhmut). There are defenders of Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Luhansk, and Sumy directions,” the report reads.
Among the released Ukrainians, three had the “missing” status. That is, Ukraine also has returned those defenders who the enemy did not officially confirm as captives.
Among others, a military musician from the 36th brigade and a marine returned from captivity. Seven liberated servicemen took part in the “helicopter” mission of the Main Directorate of Intelligence to occupied Mariupol. Among those released, four servicemen have serious wounds. One person has a significant weight loss (30 kg), and there are soldiers with complicated illnesses. All of them will undergo the necessary rehabilitation and meet their relatives whom they have not seen for many months.
