About 1,000 bodies have already been exhumed during the search works in the territories that were under Russian occupation and later liberated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine
“About 1,000 bodies of fallen heroes and civilians have been already exhumed. In particular, almost 450 bodies have been exhumed in Izyum at one of the biggest burial sites. The shocking facts of the occupiers’ atrocities are revealed: not only military personnel but also civilians – adults and children – are among the dead,” the website of the Ministry for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories reports.
It is noted that the works are ongoing in cooperation with law enforcement agencies, explosives technicians, and search groups. The exact data will become known only after examination.
The other day, another body of a civilian killed by the Russian invaders was found in the forest in the Kyiv region.
According to Andriy Nebytov, chief of the Kyiv region police, law enforcement officers established that the man was killed during the occupation of the Bucha district. The body of an unknown man was discovered not far from the pit where the police had previously found a person killed by the occupiers.
