For more than 140 years, Ukrainian women have been fighting for their rights. From iconic Ukrainian writers like Olena Pchilka, Olga Kobylyanska, and Lesia Ukrainka to modern-day heroes like Yana Zinkevych, Taira, Alexandra Matviychuk, and Marta Barandiy, Ukrainian women have shown incredible wisdom and strength. Our culture and traditions highlight the importance of women, with archetypes like the Earth as the nurturer and Berehynia as the protector of the family.

Today, Ukrainian women are leading the charge in the war. Many volunteers in NGOs, advocating for humanitarian support and exposing Russian war crimes, are women. More than 60,000 women serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
